Job summary

Kids FIRST in Eugene, Oregon seeks a fluent English/Spanish Bilingual Forensic Interviewer to conduct developmentally appropriate interviews with children and support child abuse investigations across Lane County. You will collaborate with law enforcement, child welfare, prosecutors and MDT partners while documenting interviews and contributing to case reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's with 4+ years or Master’s with 2+ years in child abuse, social work, counseling, psychology, child development or related field.
  • Ability to pass fingerprint-based background check and child welfare history check.
  • Experience with trauma-informed interviewing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct trauma-informed forensic interviews with children using Oregon guidelines.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, child welfare, prosecutors and MDT partners.
  • Document interviews, maintain case records, and support multidisciplinary reviews.
  • Provide fact and, when appropriate, expert testimony in court proceedings.
  • Participate in ongoing training, peer review and professional development.
  • Deliver outreach and consultation to MDT and community partners on child abuse.
