Job summary

Bento is hiring a Bilingual Food Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor for our Chicago, IL facility. The role leads a maintenance team in a fast-paced food-processing environment, ensuring equipment reliability and safety across 4:30 pm–1:00 am shifts, with weekend coverage as needed.

Qualified candidates bring 5+ years in industrial maintenance, at least 2 in supervision, strong electrical/mechanical/HVAC knowledge, and CMMS proficiency. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• 5+ years in industrial maintenance with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience in food processing or similar environments is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; able to de-escalate tense moments.
• Proficient in CMMS; strong workplace safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities for the team, ensuring productivity and minimal downtime.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and ensure work is performed correctly and safely.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and structural issues with machinery and facility systems.
• Monitor work orders, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of repairs and projects.
• Collaborate with production to address equipment performance and implement improvements.
• Oversee spare parts inventory and maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, Food Safety, and company policies.
