Job summary

Torsap Thai Kitchen in Thousand Oaks is seeking a bilingual Food Expeditor to join our fast-paced team. Your main duty will be to maintain smooth workflow between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring orders are entered and prepared promptly.

You will coordinate with kitchen staff and servers, monitor order timing, assist with final plate preparation, and uphold health and sanitation standards in an in-person role. English/Spanish bilingualism is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as food expeditor or similar position.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and regulations.
• Hands-on experience with a variety of kitchen equipment tools.
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with good time-management and communication skills.
• Client-oriented mindset; bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the order flow.
• Serve as a contact point for the kitchen and the wait staff.
• Ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner.
• Assist and manage final preparation of dishes.
• Oversee dishes before they leave the kitchen.
• Adhere to quality and sanitation rules.
• Assist in cleaning activities.
• Accommodate customers with special needs and requests.
• Provide excellent client service.
• Suggest improvements to offerings and reputation.
• Execute various tasks per manager directions.
