Job summary

NORC at the University of Chicago is recruiting Field Data Collectors for an evergreen pipeline of future opportunities. You will conduct in-person interviews in respondents’ homes and document information to support policy research. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are strongly encouraged.

Ideal candidates work part-time, 20–25 hours weekly, with a schedule that includes evenings and weekends. You will manage your own workload, contact people, and travel within 100 miles of the posting

Qualifications

• Part-time schedule, evenings and weekends
• Comfortable contacting people in-person at their home
• Able to lift up to 10 lbs as needed
• Must reside within 100 miles of posting location
• Access to reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• I-9 documentation and work eligibility in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Gain cooperation of respondents to complete a survey by being persuasive and appropriate
• Maintain neutral and objective communication with respondents
