NORC at the University of Chicago is building a pipeline of Field Data Collector candidates for in-person home interviews. The role supports research shaping public policy across health, education, and workforce topics.

Ideal candidates enjoy independent fieldwork, flexible scheduling, and engaging with diverse communities, with bilingual English/Spanish highly encouraged. Responsibilities include persuading respondents to participate while maintaining neutral, accurate data collection;

Qualifications

• Flexible, part-time schedule, evenings and weekends required.
• Self-starter capable of managing own work schedule.
• Enjoy meeting people from diverse backgrounds and professions.
• Willing to conduct interviews by phone and in-person at respondent homes.

Responsibilities

• Gain cooperation of respondents to complete surveys with persuasive yet neutral communication.
• Maintain neutral and objective communication with respondents.
