Job summary

The State of Oregon invites applications for a Family Time Coordinator (Social Service Assistant) bilingual in English and Spanish to support the Child Welfare program in Hillsboro. You will gather information, supervise family time, arrange transportation, and work with caseworkers to plan services while maintaining accurate case documentation.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• One year of experience in human services or behavioral health; OR an associate degree; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document information from the caseworker, children, parents, relatives, case providers, schools, and other relevant resources to plan family time visits.
• Review family time agreements with parents and caregivers, suggesting community resources as needed.
• Supervise family time in an office or community setting, documenting relevant information and ensuring child safety.
• Transport children and guardians to family time visits and other appointments.
• Collaborate with caseworkers to assess supervision details and relay important information about the children and families.
