The Family Support Services Supervisor leads a staff focused on educational, social, and emotional needs of early learners and families across Mitzi and Englewood locations.

You will supervise FSS staff, develop community partnerships, and maintain a comprehensive resources directory to ensure integrated services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field required.
• Gateway Level 5 Family Specialist Credential required.
• 3 years of experience in family support services.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Administers the Family Service program area for assigned program locations ensuring an integrated comprehensive system of services for children and families.
• Supervises and oversees work tasks and activities of Family Support Services (FSS) staff to ensure full delivery of integrated services to children and families, including implementing the agency's personnel policies and practices.
• Provides training, support and guidance to FSS staff to ensure high quality and timely services are provided to parents in compliance with Head Start Performance standards, PFCE framework, ISBE, CPS, DFSS and best practices.
• Ensures active collaboration of FSS staff and services with Site Managers and education; varied learners; health; ERSEA and other content area staff.
• Provides training and guidance to parents and community members on a variety of pertinent topics in the area of family and community partnerships.
• Collaborates with State and community partners to recruit children and families and to enhance family access to services.
