As Family Support Services Supervisor, you will lead a team serving early learners and families across Palatine Center, DeKalb, Boone and Grundy counties, coordinating with partners and maintaining resources directory.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, Gateway Level 5 credential, and 3 years of family

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Family Services, Family Studies, Human Services, Social Services, Counseling, or related field is required.
• Gateway Level 5 Family Specialist Credential is required.
• 3 years of experience providing family support services is required.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers the Family Service program area for assigned locations ensuring integrated services for children and families.
• Supervises Family Support Services staff, handling hiring, appraisals, leaves, promotions, and personnel actions.
• Provides training and guidance to staff to ensure high-quality services in line with head Start PFCE framework and standards.
• Collaborates with Site Managers and education, health, ERSEA and other staff to integrate services.
• Trains and guides parents and community members on family and community partnerships.
• Collaborates with State and community partners to recruit families and improve access to services.
