Job summary

Center for Family Life in Sunset Park (CFL) is seeking a Bilingual Case Planner to join the Family Support Program in Brooklyn, NY. This full-time role reports to the Family Support Program Supervisor and involves direct counseling, advocacy, and community liaison work.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with experience or an MSW, and fluency in Spanish or Mandarin. Expect a 35-hour work week, some evening hours, and a strong focus on culturally competent care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with relevant family work experience or MSW preferred.
• Experience with children and families and a collaborative approach.
• Bilingual Spanish or Chinese required; cultural competence essential.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with families to set goals and support success.
• Provide family, individual, and/or couples counseling using a therapeutic approach.
• Maintain a caseload and ensure timely documentation.
• Advocate for families and coordinate referrals across services.
• Attend school meetings and community appointments as needed.
• Conduct home visits and collaborate with schools, ACS, and providers.
• Lead parenting groups and workshops in the community.
• Travel for home and community visits as required.
