Job summary

Harris County Department of Education HEAD START - MULTIPLE CAMPUS LOCATIONS - Houston, TX seeks a Family Services Provider (Bilingual) to recruit and enroll students in Head Start, deliver parent-driven case management, and promote family and community engagement.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field or credential in social work/family services, strong communication skills, and ability to coordinate services for preschool children and families. Immediate start; multiple campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling or related field, or
• Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with a credential in the related field, or
• Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with direct case management experience and a credential within 18 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Model HCDE and Head Start's mission, vision, and values.
• Assist Campus Manager with daily operations.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to deliver Head Start services.
• Identify and recruit eligible students, plan recruitment events offsite.
• Complete applications and enroll students ongoing.
• Develop relationships with families and community partners.
• Support family engagement including education and literacy events.
• Assess families to develop partnership plans and connect to resources.
• Provide timely case management and follow-up, including home visits as needed.
• Maintain documentation and data entry, ensuring confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
