Job summary

The New York Foundling seeks a bilingual social worker to support families across New York City. You will conduct assessments, engage caregivers, and coordinate services within a holistic, family-centered model.

This position emphasizes evidence-based practice and community integration. You will complete Family Treatment Plans and maintain timely documentation, with weekend availability and potential travel within the borough or region as required.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Sociology.
• Experience with Child Welfare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessment including review of referral information and engagement of key participants.
• Engage primary caregiver and other key participants in change-oriented treatment.
• Provide home-based interventions and monitor outcomes.
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of intervention efforts and Family Assessment and Service Planning.
• Weekend availability required and ability to travel as needed.
