Job summary

PSJA ISD Parental Involvement is seeking a Community Engagement Parent Educator in Pharr, TX to build partnerships among families, schools, and the community. The role coordinates Parent and Family Engagement activities, supports Title I requirements, and maintains compliant documentation.

The position emphasizes bilingual communication, collaboration with campus staff, and organizing parent trainings and volunteer efforts to boost student achievement and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Must speak, read, and write English and Spanish fluently.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and vehicle insurance.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and facilitate parent meetings, trainings, and engagement activities.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen relationships between school and community.
• Provide varied opportunities for parent to actively participate in their children’s education.
• Recruit, train and sustain the volunteer program.
• Assist schools to comply with Title I Parental Involvement requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and meet established deadlines.
