Job summary

Spring Independent School District in Houston seeks an Emergent Bilingual Parent Liaison (Title III) to bridge families and the school community. This role supports family engagement, facilitates communication, and connects EB families with resources and programs.

The position reports to the Director of Multilingual Programs, requires a Bachelor's degree, bilingual proficiency, and at least 3 years in EB programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and another language relevant to the school community.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in Emergent Bilingual (EB) programs, such as bilingual and ESL instruction, or related services.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between EB families and school staff in accessible, linguistically appropriate ways.
• Organize and lead parent workshops, trainings, and informational sessions on EB programs and family engagement.
• Assist EB families in navigating school procedures and services, including translation/interpretation as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to address barriers to student success for EB students.
