Job summary

StepStone Family & Youth Services seeks a driven Bilingual Family Care Specialist to recruit and support foster families, guiding them through licensing and training processes. You will build relationships with community partners, assess homes, and ensure readiness to care for youth who have experienced trauma.

The role is hybrid, combining fieldwork, office meetings, and remote collaboration, with emphasis on clear communication, project coordination, and compassionate family support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or equivalent combination of education/experience
• Desire to provide ongoing support to foster homes for children with special needs
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities and early childhood development
• Attend required foster care pre-service training
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Flexible hours including mornings, evenings and weekends
• Must have Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card AZ
• Clean record in Safety Central Registry
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Negative pre-employment and random drug tests

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation of potential foster/adoptive homes for study and training
• Provide ongoing monitoring, supervision, and support to licensed or certified families
• Hybrid work arrangement (home, office, and field work)
