Job summary

Mission Critical Group seeks a Facility Safety Manager in Belle Chasse, LA. Lead the HSE program, ensure compliance with regulations, and oversee safety leadership for the site. Manage inspections, training, audits, and incident investigations to maintain a safe, compliant environment.

The role requires English/Spanish fluency, a related bachelor’s degree, and 6+ years in HSE, including leadership. Travel to sites may be required, with a focus on continuous safety improvements across operations.

Qualifications

• Requires fluency in English and Spanish.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years HSE experience with at least 3+ in leadership.
• Manufacturing or industrial environment experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 (general industry).
• Experience with LOTO, MHE / Forklift, Fall protection, HAZCOM, contractor safety management, and environmental compliance fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible HSE leadership and serve as the facility safety representative.
• Conduct inspections, identify hazards, propose corrective actions, verify completion.
• Monitor compliance with safety policies, training, and PPE requirements.
• Administer safety meetings, training, emergency preparedness, and communications.
• Lead or support investigations of injuries, near misses, and incidents.
• Manage injury cases with site management and CAO approval.
