Job summary

Economy Wholesale Grocers seeks a Facilities & Safety-oriented professional to ensure all buildings and services operate smoothly. You will coordinate contractors, track service agreements, and foster a safety-forward culture across facilities.

Responsibilities include inspections for OSHA compliance, incident follow-ups, and maintaining equipment records. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication and proficiency in MS Office, with opportunities to support security and emergency

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of facilities management or building services experience in retail or warehouse environments.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• OSH A 10/30 or similar safety certifications are a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and fire safety regulations is beneficial.
• Budget tracking and management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and document relationships with third-party contractors and service providers (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, grounds).
• Track contracts with service providers to ensure terms and deadlines are met.
• Promote a safety-conscious culture by distributing materials and coordinating safety programs.
• Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and document findings.
• Assist with safety incident follow-ups and root-cause investigations when needed.
• Support management and implementation of safety training, policies, and inspections.
• Supervise building security across facilities.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance and safety audits in MS Office.
• Assist planning repairs, installations, refurbishments, and intra-office moves.
• Ensure common areas are clean, stocked, and well-maintained.
