Job summary

The United Way of Central Maryland seeks an ACE-CIS Specialist to connect Baltimore tenants with eviction-related legal help in both Spanish and English. You will perform intake, assess needs, and refer to partner LSOs, while also guiding clients to health and human services and 211 Maryland Helpline resources.

Ideal candidates communicate clearly, build relationships across diverse communities, and share information about community resources, eviction processes, and crisis support.

Qualifications

• Bilingual ability in Spanish and English required or strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Crisis intervention skills preferred; willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and referral services for eviction counseling by phone; conduct intake and assess needs.
• Maintain records, determine eligibility, and refer to collaborating legal service organizations.
• Offer training, outreach, and education on eviction processes and community resources.

Skills

BA in social work or related field

Inform USA certification within two years
