Job summary

Foundation Communities in Austin seeks a Temporary Bilingual Enrollment Specialist to assist community members enrolling in Marketplace health plans. This grant-funded, seasonal role includes paid training starting in late September 2026 and continues through mid-December 2026, with potential extension depending on CMS decisions.

You will provide on-site and phone client support, guide enrollment, educate on plan options, and use Healthcare.gov, REDCap, RingCentral, and other systems.

Qualifications

• Enrolment experience in health insurance marketplaces preferred.
• Ability to educate clients on plan options and terminology.
• Strong data entry and confidentiality adherence (HIPAA).

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and phone assistance to clients enrolling in Marketplace plans.
• Assist clients with Premium Tax Credits and plan selections.
• Educate clients on Marketplace applications and coverage options.
• Use Healthcare.gov, REDCap, RingCentral and other systems effectively.
• Complete CAC certification and maintain confidentiality.

Position Description

The Bilingual Enrollment Specialist is part of a team that enrolls community members in affordable health insurance plans.This is a temporary, seasonal, grant-funded position. Paid training is expected to begin in late September 2026, with the role continuing through mid-December 2026. Based on a determination by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding the Open Enrollment period, the assignment may be extended through mid-January 2027. Employment in this role is contingent upon continued grant funding and business needs, and may end sooner if funding is reduced, exhausted, or otherwise terminated. In no event will this position extend beyond the approved grant funding period.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide on-site client assistance and support in person and by phone
• Help clients accurately enroll in Marketplace health insurance, including available Premium Assistance Programs, Advanced Premium Tax Credits, and Qualified Health Plan options
• Educate clients on the Marketplace application, health coverage terminology, and plan options
• Effectively use email, Healthcare.gov, REDCap, RingCentral, and other technological systems
• Complete all paid trainings and Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services (CMS) Certified Application Counselor (CAC) certification
• Protect client confidentiality and PII/PHI in compliance with HIPAA policies
• Other duties as assigned
• Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or Arabic, Hindi, Pashtorequired
• Ability to provide empathetic, trauma-informed services
• Ability to be flexible, learn quickly, and multi-task
• Accurate, efficient, and detail-oriented
• Proficiency using standard office computer programs and databases
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
