Job summary

MHC Healthcare in Marana, AZ is seeking an Eligibility Enrollment Specialist to join the outreach team at the Marana Main Health Center. The role identifies and educates prospective enrollees, conducts initial screening for AHCCCS, Marketplace Insurance, and MHC Sliding Fee Schedule programs, and coordinates with agencies for timely determinations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 1 year of public-facing experience, and bilingual English/Spanish.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in a public-facing role.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain on hire.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients in a courteous, friendly and professional manner.
• Informs families about publicly financed health care programs and insurance.
• Performs initial eligibility screening and forwards applications to agencies.
• Coordinates with agencies to expedite eligibility determinations.
• Updates files daily to reflect application status.
• Follows state guidelines for processing applications.
• Educates staff on programs to promote outreach.
• Develops partnerships with community and local businesses.
• Compiles data and records outreach activities.
• Other outreach duties as assigned.
