The role emphasizes lesson planning, adapting to student needs, collaboration with staff, and supervision of aides/volunteers within a district-wide setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned; AED certificate for PE.
• Bilingual certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
• Accommodate individual learning styles and differences.
• Plan using instructional strategies, materials, and technology per TEA policies.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs; plan with staff to set goals.
• Supervise instructional aides and volunteers; oversee tasks.
