Plano Independent School District seeks an Elementary Special Education (Bilingual) teacher to provide specialized instruction and support within a campus setting. The role emphasizes adherence to Texas standards, collaboration with general and special education staff, and implementing individualized education plans for diverse learners.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements, plus ESL/SE certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• ESL Certification is required for Pre-K and elementary teaching positions and certain ELA roles.
• Special Education Certification is required for all teachers at an Early Childhood campus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with district curriculum and show evidence of preparation.
• Prepare lessons accommodating individual student differences and IEP requirements.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and technology to meet individual student needs.
• Cooperate with other staff to modify curricula for special education students as needed.
• Communicate with parents and colleagues to maintain open lines of communication.
