Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas Bilingual Teaching Certificate with required endorsements or training.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• One year student teaching or approved internship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans reflecting district curriculum and accommodations for individual differences.
• Plan and employ instructional strategies and materials suitable for diverse learners.
• Assess student learning styles and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Coordinate with staff to set instructional goals and supervise aides/volunteers.
• Maintain professional relationships with parents and the school community.
• Participate in staff development and attend meetings.
