Job summary

New Braunfels Chamber is seeking a bilingual educator to support district students with learning activities designed to foster intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.

The candidate will develop lessons aligned with district curriculum and TEA guidelines, and will hold a bachelor’s degree with a valid Texas teaching certificate. ESL certification must be obtained within six months of employment, with at least one year of student teaching or internship preferred.

Qualifications

• Bilingual required.
• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned.
• ESL Certification required within six months of employment for elementary and secondary core teachers.
• Knowledge of subjects assigned and curriculum/instruction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligning with district curriculum and TEA guidelines.
• Plan lessons accommodating different learning styles and assess student progress.
• Plan and supervise teacher aides and volunteers; use technology to enhance teaching.
• Work with staff to set instructional goals and adapt curricula for IEPs.
• Conduct conferences with parents and maintain professional relationships.
• Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
