Job summary

Weller Metalworks USA in Libertyville, IL is seeking a Bilingual Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator. The role leads safety and environmental initiatives, conducts audits, and delivers training in English and Spanish, fostering a safer manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of Environmental Health & Safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety investigations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and safety policies.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and facility audits; identify hazards and coordinate corrective actions.
• Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and injuries; prepare reports and corrective action plans.
• Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, training documentation, and compliance files.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work documentation.
• Deliver safety orientation and ongoing training in English and Spanish; lead toolbox talks.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures, fire drills, and evacuation plans.
• Assist with environmental compliance, waste management, chemical inventory, and SDS management.
