Job summary

Sevita’s Mentor South Bay division seeks a Bilingual Early Intervention Specialist to deliver in-home services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays, including autism, across Massachusetts. The role emphasizes language, cognitive and social-emotional development, with weekly coaching for families.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's in relevant field, is fluent in Haitian Creole, and can manage a caseload with strong organization and communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field required.
• Experience with children under 5 preferred.
• Must be fluent in Haitian Creole.
• Valid driver’s license with insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and provide weekly in-home services for a caseload of infant/toddlers with disabilities.
• Administer and document program assessments and updates to meet timelines.
• Design, implement, and adapt activities for language, cognitive, motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development.
• Model effective adult-child interactions and provide parenting coaching with written weekly activities.
• Monitor, document, and share the child’s progress with the family and team.

Bilingual Early Intervention Specialist

Raising a child with a developmental disability is a journey that takes knowledge, love, patience, and support. You will be part of a team that provides in-home early intervention specialized services for infants and toddlers where they can naturally learn and develop.

• Plan, schedule and provide weekly early educational in-home services for a caseload of infant/toddlers with disabilities including developmental delays and programs for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.
• Administer and document all program assessments and updates accurately to meet timelines.
• Design, implement, and adapt activities for language, cognitive, fine and gross motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development, for each individual child, utilizing best practices.
• Model effective adult-child interactions and provide written information on parenting, child development, and provide parents with written weekly activities and effective coaching.
• Monitor, document, and share the child’s progress with the family and team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Early Intervention, Early Childhood, Special Education, Child Development or Child Studies.
• Must have experience with children under 5.
• Must speak fluent Haitian Creole
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills to manage relationships
