Job summary

Collaborative for Children in the Houston area seeks a Bilingual Early Childhood Specialist to build a caseload of eligible families in Liberty County and serve as the primary connector to local resources.

The role requires travel to families’ homes and parental coaching to improve school readiness for children birth to five; an associate degree is required, with English/Spanish fluency and 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in early childhood education or related field with 3+ years of related experience.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (oral and written) is required.
• Experience with families navigating the Child Protective Services system.
• Knowledge of establishing relationships with vulnerable families.
• Experience in adult learning and early childhood education theories.

Responsibilities

• Provide core curricula + professional resources + goal-setting home visitation services.
• Utilize evidence-based curricula to coach families on school readiness.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver activities and learning opportunities.
• Monitor curricula implementation to meet school-readiness and family goals.
• Plan and present programs at community events to recruit families.
