Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and Texas teaching certification required.
• Valid Special Education Certification required.
• Valid Bilingual Certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching English Language Arts and/or Reading.
• Minimum of 3 years in bilingual education.
• 1 year of dyslexia instruction preferred.
• Esperanza Training preferred.
• Reading by Design Training preferred.
• Texas Dyslexia Academies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement lesson plans aligned to IEP goals and TEKS.
• Maintain documentation of student progress using district reporting systems.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and ARD committee to support IEPs.
• Provide bilingual and monolingual dyslexia intervention per IEP service schedules.
• Attend ARD committee meetings as the Provider of Dyslexia Instruction.
