Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for the assigned subject and grade.
• Teaching certification in multiple areas is preferred.
• ESL Certification required within one year of employment.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
• Plan lessons with accommodations for different learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and policies.
• Use instructional materials and technology suited to students' needs.
• Assess student learning styles and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Set instructional goals with staff and supervise aides and volunteers.
• Maintain open communication with parents and staff.
• Maintain district records and participate in faculty meetings.
• Supervise assigned teacher aides.
