Job summary

Arkansas Blue Cross is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to resolve member inquiries with timeliness and courtesy. The role requires documenting details, researching information in systems, and collaborating with experts to reach first contact resolution when possible.

You will handle high-volume interactions, maintain accurate notes, and demonstrate strong communication, problem solving, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years' experience in a specialized customer service environment.
• OR two years' college coursework (48 credits) plus one year experience in a specialized customer service environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to resolve inquiries with courtesy and accuracy while documenting interactions.

Responsibilities

• Communicates clearly in business English, with correct grammar and precise vocabulary; keeps accurate electronic notes in appropriate systems.
• Interacts with members, groups, and providers to resolve product and health insurance plan issues; adheres to privacy rules.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates proactive problem-solving and negotiation to reach fact-based resolutions.
• Develops product knowledge and system know-how regarding benefits and eligibility.
