Job summary

Columbia Gorge Motors seeks a motivated Service Advisor to coordinate customer services and repairs. You will verify warranty coverage, develop estimates, write repair orders, and maintain strong communication with customers and technicians to ensure satisfaction.

Ideal candidates excel in communication, organization, and have automotive knowledge. Responsibilities include scheduling, follow-ups, and maintaining paperwork to a high standard.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Extensive knowledge of automotive industry and parts.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate with technicians, customers and senior management.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly in person and on the phone.
• Prepare estimates and invoices for repairs and parts.
• Perform walk around on customer’s vehicle with customer present.
• Write a brief description of the problem on the repair order.
• Explain completed work and recommendations to customer.
• Collect payment from customer.
• Act as liaison between customer, manufacturer representatives and technicians.
• Track repair orders and parts requests.
• Follow up with customer.
• Schedule appointments and answer questions about repairs or maintenance.
• Maintain manufacturer certification as required.

Job Summary: Coordinates customer services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services requested; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining exceptional customer service and communication while keeping paperwork in order. This person should be exceptional at communication equally with technicians and customers while helping direct people to available technicians.

Responsibilities: Each Job Responsibility is listed below in no order of importance, notice some tasks are ongoing throughout.

• Greet customers promptly and efficiently in person and on the phone while utilizing MAGIC
• Listen to customer’s description of the problems or services needed to determine the type of service or repairs required, and prepare estimates and invoices for repairs and parts
• Perform walk around on customer’s vehicle with customer present
• Write a brief description of the problem on the repair order to help the technician locate the problem
• Communicate vehicle promise time to customer when checking them in
• Explain thoroughly to customer all completed work and any recommendations technician may have, go over 120-point inspection with explanation
• Collect payment from customer
• Act as a liaison between customer and manufacturer representatives and technicians
• Track repair orders, parts requests, unsold repairs
• Perform timely follow up with customer
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of repair orders and completed work
• Schedule appointments, answer any questions customer may have regarding repairs or maintenance that are needed
• Maintain manufacturer certification as required
