Responsibilities

• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Report pricing and scanning discrepancies to the manager.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Handle returns and exchanges per company policies.
• Communicate new programs and promotions to customers.
• Follow policies for stamps, money orders, gift certificates, lottery, and money transfers.
• Handle funds, coupons, and tenders per policy.
• Stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Maintain awareness of inventory conditions for ordering accuracy.
• Label and stock merchandise.
• Report ordering and shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to safety regulations and identify unsafe conditions.
