Job summary

White Bear Lake Area Schools seeks a Non Affiliated Exempt staff member to support Spanish-speaking students, families and staff across the district. The role includes translation for meetings, aiding enrollment, and connecting families with students at multiple sites.

Under the Director of Equity and Engagement, you will help identify Spanish/Latino students, facilitate language integration, and collaborate with school leadership to promote inclusive, equitable education for all students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to build strong community partnerships.
• Experience with data entry and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

• Support Spanish-speaking students, families and staff by translating for meetings as needed.
• Assist in enrollment processes for families needing additional support.
• Connect with students at various sites to support engagement.
• Bridge district with Spanish-speaking communities to improve family engagement.
• Collaborate with enrollment, building leadership and multilingual staff to develop programming.
• Identify and support Spanish/Latino students for enrollment and retention.
• Partner with principals to foster an inclusive school climate and educational equity.
