Job summary

Rainbow Services is seeking a Residential Associate (Part Time) to support residents in emergency shelter or transitional housing. Responsibilities include stabilizing clients, coordinating intake, organizing residential programming, and assisting with basic needs and referrals.

Qualifications emphasize social services experience, DV field familiarity, and willingness to work with diverse populations; bilingual Spanish/English is required per contract agreements.

Qualifications

• Training or experience in the social service field, particularly residential services, highly desired.
• Prior experience in the domestic violence field preferred.
• Interest in addressing social justice issues affecting families and vulnerable groups, and a commitment to the movement to end intimate partner violence.
• Willingness to work with a diverse client population, including individuals in crisis.
• Flexibility and adaptability to the changing needs of the work environment.
• Bilingual Spanish/English required per contract agreements and high percentage of Spanish-speakers in client population.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. required.
• State-mandated 40-hour Domestic Violence training required and can be provided upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Residential Associates support participants (clients) at either the emergency shelter or transitional housing program.
• Residential Associates work collaboratively with other program staff to support residents in attaining goals identified in their individual service plans.
• Residential Associates support the overall facilities management and contribute to creating a safe, welcoming environment for residents.
