POSITION SUMMARY

The Bilingual Crisis Clinician provides crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization services, including clinical and case management, for children from birth through age 17. The clinician will respond in the community to provide crisis intervention and safety planning, working with emergency departments, inpatient units, and care providers to coordinate crisis and diversionary planning for high-needs youth. The goal is to prevent multiple admissions to high-intensity settings and promote the use of MCIS for intensive community-based planning.
SALARY
Eligible for a $5k sign-on bonus! Half paid upon hire and half after one year.
LOCATION
Hartford, CT
SCHEDULE
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Two afternoon/night shifts required: 2-10 pm and 11 am-7 pm. No on-call or weekend services.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Doctoral degree in Psychology or Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Counseling. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
Licensure Requirements for Clinical Positions
Must hold one of the following credentials to start employment: LMSW, LCSW, LMFTA, LMFT, LPCA, LPC, or licensed/license-eligible Psychologist in Connecticut.
Valid Driver's License is required to operate a vehicle in the community as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct screening, evaluation, and diagnosis in accordance with DSM. Develop individualized, measurable treatment and crisis plans collaboratively with clients and families. Demonstrate knowledge of psychopathology, crisis theory, and behavioral health interventions. Triages emergencies and implements safety protocols. Provides mobile services in community settings, including homes, schools, and hospitals. Coordinates with internal and external resources, makes appropriate referrals, and communicates effectively with clients, families, and providers. Participates in community meetings and care planning, and collaborates with team members to provide follow-up care. Meets productivity goals, documents all client interactions per policy, and attends trainings and supervision sessions. Continues cultural competence development and adheres to agency standards.
