Job summary

Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a Construction Safety Trainer to implement and manage health and safety practices on a construction site in accordance with OSHA regulations and client standards.

The ideal candidate will be self-directed, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication and computer skills to support on-site safety inspections, training coordination, and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of continuous experience in construction safety.
• Bilingual in English & Spanish.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital safety platforms.
• Must be able to work independently and manage site safety with minimal supervision.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary EHS representative for the project, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and contract requirements.
• Support the project management team with on-site safety inspections, reporting, and training coordination.
• Conduct and document daily safety inspections of the job site.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety logs, incident reports, and OSHA recordkeeping (including injury/illness logs).
• Interface with regulatory agencies such as OSHA as needed.
• Provide ongoing safety training and toolbox talks to on-site personnel.
• Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate closely with facility management and subcontractors to ensure alignment with EHS standards.
