Job summary

Environmental and Safety Solutions Inc. seeks a Construction Safety Specialist to monitor job site safety in New Albany, OH, working on-site with a large construction team. You will lead safety activities, conduct inspections, and drive a proactive safety culture across multiple trades.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in construction safety, bilingual English/Spanish, and strong writing/computer skills. Local candidates preferred, with per diem available for non-locals.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of construction safety management experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong field presence (90%+ of time) to monitor job site safety conditions and behaviors.
• Conduct daily site walkthroughs, inspections, and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions in real time.
• Partner with superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and pre-task planning sessions.
• Observe work activities across multiple trades and ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; document findings and support corrective action plans.
• Reinforce positive safety behaviors while coaching and mentoring workers on best practices.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to company safety policies and procedures.

Job Description:

Requirements:

• Must be bilingual (English and Spanish).
• OSHA 510, Preferred or additional experience.
• Local to the project preferred, there is per diem available if not local.
• 2 to 5 years of construction safety management experience.
• Ability to start this project as soon as possible.
• Must have excellent writing and computer skills.
• Great communication - written & verbal.
