Our client is searching for a Bilingual Construction Project Coordinator in the Houston, TX area. The Bilingual Construction Project Coordinator will focus on managing and supporting craft (non-exempt) labor for the construction group. This role is critical to streamlining craft onboarding, compliance, and staffing processes to improve project timelines and efficiency. This position requires the candidate to be bilingual (English/Spanish).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage craft requisition processes and lead recruiting efforts for skilled and general craft labor.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process, including documentation, orientation, and timely integration of craft labor into project teams.
  • Set craft wage rates, establish per diem guidelines, and validate eligibility.
  • Record, monitor, and update craft skill levels, maintaining a performance tracking database.
  • Oversee internal transfers of craft labor between projects, ensuring a smooth process.
  • Coordinate craft training programs, including Operator Qualifications (OQs), NCCER certifications, equipment operator training, and physicals.
  • Conduct evaluations for craft workers and supervisors, manage termination documentation, and handle post-termination evaluations.
  • Manage personnel files, enforce absentee and reprimand policies, oversee benefits administration, and ensure compliance with HR policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a construction environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a must.
