Job summary

NYC Kids RISE in New York City seeks a bilingual Community Engagement Associate (Spanish) to engage families and explain the Save for College Program, focusing on opening savings accounts and referrals.

The role supports the Parent Foundations team, requires English/Spanish fluency, 2–4 years experience, strong communication, and comfort with workshops, events, and data entry; hybrid work with office in Long Island City.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required with strong communication skills.
• 2–4 years of related work experience in community engagement or empowerment.
• Interest in financial empowerment, college readiness, and community organizing.

Responsibilities

• Lead presentations and workshops in English and Spanish.
• Direct outreach to participating parents by various channels and explain the program.
• Provide one-on-one support to families for accounts and deposits.
• Staff NYC Kids RISE Hotline and assist workshop sign-ups.
• Ensure accurate data entry in NYC Kids RISE databases.
