Job summary

NYC Kids RISE seeks a highly organized Community Engagement Associate (Spanish) to support direct parent engagement for the Save for College Program. The role focuses on engaging families, explaining program benefits, and guiding them through account setup with an emphasis on Spanish-language communications.

The position offers a hybrid work environment with offices in Long Island City, NY, and requires bilingual fluency, strong presentation skills, and a commitment to empowering families

Qualifications

• Two to four years of related work experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required).
• Interest in financial empowerment and/or college/career readiness and/or community organizing.
• Ability to lead presentations and facilitate workshops in English and Spanish.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS/Google Suite.
• Familiarity with CRM databases.
• Proficiency with video meeting tools.
• Availability for some evening, early morning, and weekend events.

Responsibilities

• Engage participating families 1:1 in person, by phone, text, or email to explain the program and advance engagement.
• Deliver presentations about the Save for College Program and facilitate informational workshops.
• Provide navigational and technical support for opening and linking college savings accounts and deposits.
• Staff the NYC Kids RISE Hotline to answer questions and sign up participants for workshops.
• Support logistics of Save for College Program events and follow up.
• Ensure timely follow up and high-quality customer service to participants.
• Assist with data entry for workshop attendance, hotline calls, and program interactions.
• Contribute to anti-oppression and anti-racist work within the organization.
