Job summary

New Jersey Citizen Action (NJCA) seeks a Bilingual Community Educator to drive fair housing education and community outreach in Newark or Highland Park. This full-time hybrid role includes in-person events, travel, and workshops to engage low- and moderate-income communities and communities of color.

The Educator will lead English- and Spanish-language workshops, develop partnerships, maintain grant-related records, and work with NJCA staff on program delivery.

Qualifications

• Bi-lingual with excellent oral and written communication in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Zoom for meetings and reporting.
• Available to work some evenings and weekends as required by events.
• Degree from an accredited institution; outreach experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct English- and Spanish-language fair housing workshops and events.
• Build relationships with community groups and educate about NJCA programs.
• Develop and maintain statewide organizational contact lists in the database.
• Complete grant-related reports and maintain event paperwork and logs.
• Collaborate with NJCA staff and participate in organizational events.
