Job summary

The Communications Assistant at Latino Center of the Midlands in Omaha, NE supports development, coordination, and implementation of internal and external communications for LCM. Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish essential.
• Strong writing/editing skills.
• Experience with social media content and digital communications.
• Ability to design promotional materials.
• Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
• Experience with website CMS and email marketing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, schedule, and publish content across social media per plan and priorities.
• Create bilingual social media content including captions, graphics, photos, and short videos.
• Maintain communications calendar for timely promotion of programs and events.
• Monitor social channels and respond to routine inquiries per guidelines.
• Assist with social media campaigns, online events, and outreach initiatives.
• Design and produce promotional materials (flyers, posters, newsletters, etc.).
• Ensure branding and messaging consistent across all materials.
• Update website content and coordinate with staff for new information.
• Draft bilingual announcements and communications for internal/external audiences.
• Coordinate with vendors and partners for design and production needs.
• Maintain digital asset library and review materials for quality and accuracy.
• Assist with media inquiries and manage routine communications workflows.
