Job summary

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic in Portland, OR seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for a 1.0 FTE role. You will support providers, maintain patient records, and prepare patients for visits using the Epic EMR.

The position offers a competitive hourly range ($24.66–$36.31/hour DOE), plus a $5,000 hiring/retention bonus structure, bilingual differential, and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, a 403(b) retirement plan, generous PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from a 720-hour MA program or equivalent training.
• WA State Medical Assistant certification or eligibility required.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient records with vital signs and immunizations.
• Prepare for visits, review labs and referrals, and update files.
• Assist Providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms, ensure supplies and sterilization.
• Educate patients and provide discharge information as needed.
• Coordinate with care teams and respond to questions.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens and review results.
