Job summary

Suvida Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist to strengthen medical documentation during patient encounters within our multidisciplinary primary care team serving Medicare-eligible Hispanic seniors.

The CIS collaborates with providers to record histories, exams, diagnostic tests, and treatment plans in the EHR, ensuring comprehensive, accurate records that support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Medical Scribe experience preferred.
• Proficient in using EHR systems.
• Strong typing and computer skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Willingness to move between Neighborhood Centers as needed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters accurately in real time, including histories, exams, tests, and plans.
• Navigate and manage EHR data while maintaining compliance and confidentiality.
• Review patient charts for completeness and resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate with care team to share requests and follow-up instructions.
• Enter ICD-10 and CPT codes for diagnoses and services.
• Support documentation queries between coding and providers.
• Prepare morning huddle with review of historical data.
• Monitor quality metrics and identify gaps in care.
• Analyze population health data to improve stratification and enrollment.
• Stay updated on evidence-based protocols; protect privacy per HIPAA.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
