Job summary

Community Clinic in Springdale, AR seeks a Clinic Nurse for our Family Practice team. The nurse will support clinicians, manage patient flow, perform vital signs, administer treatments, and maintain a clean, efficient exam room. You will document interactions in the medical record and assist with referrals with professionalism.

Requires LPN licensure in Arkansas and bilingual ability in English and Spanish or Marshallese. Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed to practice nursing in Arkansas as an LPN.
• Bilingual ability in English and either Spanish or Marshallese required.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care under clinicians' direction.
• Obtain vital signs, measurements, and lab tests per protocol.
• Obtain chief complaint and reason for visit with strong listening.
• Administer treatments and medications safely.
• Maintain exam room supplies and cleanliness.
• Refer patients to appropriate providers; handle referrals.
• Triage unscheduled patients and calls using protocols.
• Document interactions in the medical record promptly.
• Record referrals and follow-up results accurately.
• Adhere to HIPAA/HITECH, CLIA, NCQA PCMH, OSHA.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Clinic Nurse to join our Primary & Specialty Care Clinic on Emma Ave in Springdale, AR for our Family Practice team! The Nurse manages patient care under the direction of the clinicians, assisting in providing excellent primary health care to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient flow during clinic so as to assure prompt service for patients.
• Obtains vital signs, measurements and laboratory tests accurately, as per protocol.
• Obtains chief complaint and reason for visit using excellent listening skills.
• Administers treatments and medications proficiently and safely.
• Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency.
• Refers patients as appropriate, interacting with referral sources in a professional and cordial manner.
• Triages unscheduled patients, telephone calls and other patient concerns using triage protocols and professional judgment as well as a warmth and concern for the patient’s wellbeing.
• Documents all patient interactions completely and promptly in the medical record.
• Refers patients to other providers as requested by clinicians; completes forms, maintains records of referral and follow-up of results and recommendations. Appropriately documents referral interactions in the medical record.
• Adheres to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECH, CLIA, HRSA, NCQA PCMH and OSHA.

• Ability to work and function independently and within a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds.
• Proficient spelling necessary.
• Knowledge in computer software such as Microsoft Office Software.
• Able to perform proficiently on current practice management system and/or electronic medical records.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
• Engages in professional development activities, such as trainings and CEUs.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Arkansas as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Bilingual ability in English and either Spanish or Marshallese required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Community Health or FQHC setting preferred.
• Experience in Family Practice preferred.
• Bilingual ability in English and either Spanish or Marshallese required.
