Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide at Columbus Bilingual West in Columbus, Ohio. The role supports teachers, fosters a positive classroom climate, and assists with lessons and activities for EK-6 students.

The incumbent will help with planning activities, supervise events, and perform clerical duties while upholding school policies. Requirements include an associate degree or Paraprofessional’s Exam, MS Office proficiency, and a background check.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework or passing the Paraprofessional’s Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic classroom technology.
• Ability to meet educational standards and work under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups.
• Helps plan classroom activities and supports student and parent relations.
• Assists with school activities and events (parent nights, assemblies, field trips).
• Performs clerical duties (grading papers, copying).
• Assists the Teacher in the use of classroom technology.
• Maintains classroom and lunchroom cleanliness.
