Sinica Education Inc. is hiring full-time instructors for our West LA office.

Candidates should be able to teach 3 or more AP/IB HL-level subjects across Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Literature, History, languages, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, and other intro college courses. Requirements include near-native Mandarin Chinese and English, a Top 30 university degree (PhD/EdD preferred), and strong communication with students, families, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Teach 3+ AP/IB HL-level subjects in Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Literature, History, languages, Finance, Accounting, CS, or related courses.
• Deliver high-quality instruction in-person at West LA office or via online platforms.
• Support students’ academic planning and progress with families and partners.

Job description

Co-founded by Harvard graduates, Sinica Education provides online educational content and academic support to students in middle school, high school, and college. Through online tools, we deliver short courses, one-on-one instruction, academic counseling, and other forms of personalized guidance to ensure our students’ academic success.

Who are we looking for?

Sinica Education is seeking full-time instructors to join our growing academic team at our West LA office. We are specifically looking for candidates who can teach 3 or more AP/IB HL-level subjects in the following areas:

• Mathematics
• Economics
• Physics
• Literature
• World History / U.S. History
• French / Spanish
• Finance
• Accounting
• Computer Science
• Other high school or introductory college-level courses

Required Qualifications:

• Near-native proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written)
• BA or graduate degree from a Top 30 university (PhD or EdD strongly preferred)
• Strong communication skills, especially when working with students, their families, and external partners
• A demonstrated passion for education and a willingness to work with international students from diverse backgrounds, ages, and academic levels
• Able to manage students effectively and support them in planning their high school academic paths
• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment while juggling competing priorities
• Open to learning and adapting to meet the needs of different types of learners

Preferred Qualifications:

• Classroom teaching experience at the high school or college level
• Familiarity with AP/IB curricula; ideally, you’ve graduated from or taught in an AP or IB program
• One-on-one tutoring experience with high school or college students
• Proficiency with online teaching platforms

This is a full-time, on-site role based in West Los Angeles.
