Job summary

Tierra Encantada is seeking a full-time Childcare Float to support multiple classrooms, ensuring smooth center operations and a nurturing learning environment for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. The role involves helping with daily routines, safety, and communications with families and staff.

The position offers a 8:45am–5:45pm schedule, Monday–Friday, in Minnesota. Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, with benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• Provide a certificate of completion of an approved pediatric first aid and CPR within 90 days of hire.
• Familiarity with childcare licensing requirements and safety protocols is expected.
• CDA, Food Handling Certification, or ECE experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with center operations including breaks, absences, openings, and classroom coverage.
• Adapt quickly to different classrooms and teaching styles across age groups.
• Help implement the curriculum and maintain a developmentally appropriate environment.
• Maintain a nurturing, inclusive atmosphere and open communication with staff and families.
• Support cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of the center.
