Job summary

Tierra Encantada in Chicago is seeking a Center Floats to support classrooms and operations across the center. The role covers classroom coverage, cleaning, kitchen assistance, and general duties to keep daily routines running smoothly.

This is a full-time, nonexempt position with Monday–Friday hours. Starting pay ranges from $17.31 to $19.04 per hour, depending on education and experience, with benefits including health insurance and vacation time.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in Spanish.
• CPR/First Aid certificate preferred but not required.
• Early childhood experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ensuring smooth Center operations including breaks, absences, and openings.
• Adapt to the needs of each classroom and different teaching styles.
• Assist in implementing the curriculum and maintaining a developmentally appropriate environment.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for every child.
• Maintain communication with teachers and leadership for alignment.
• Uphold cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of the center.
• Be a dependable team member, punctual and solution oriented.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
