Job summary

Mexican American Opportunity Foundation seeks a Homemaker in Oxnard, CA to plan and prepare meals for children per CACFP guidelines. You will work under the Nutrition Program Manager and Site Supervisor, ensuring sanitary food handling and timely meal production.

The role requires bilingual Spanish/English ability, strong organizational and communication skills, and adherence to MAOF procedures. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with the MAOF benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bi-lingual Spanish/ English required.
• Ability to perform complex program requirements.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday.
• Strong organizational, analytic, and administrative skills.
• Proficient in reading, writing, math, and understanding of work-related material.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required.
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential matters.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals for children daily.
• Prepares snacks for children daily.
• Takes the temperature of food upon arrival and at time of serving daily.
• Assists in serving lunch to children.
• Maintains inventory of food and kitchen supplies.
