Job summary

MAOF is seeking a Dining Coordinator to oversee meal service delivery and ensure quality for participants under the Nutrition Project Director. This non-exempt, temporary role requires coordinating meals, supervising volunteers, and maintaining daily records and program incomes at the Los Angeles County site.

Applicants must be bilingual in English and Spanish, pass the food handler exam within 30 days, have a valid CA driver's license, reliable transportation, and pass a DOJ background check.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Must pass Certified Food Handler Exam within thirty (30) days of employment.
• Must possess a valid California Driver's License, have reliable transportation and maintain liability insurance.
• Negative T.B. test or chest X-rays, negative drug and alcohol screen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site for meal service.
• Supervise volunteers and or aides who help serve meals.
• Complete a record of attendance and program income and deliver it to main office on a daily basis.
• Plan social activities such as monthly birthday and holiday celebrations.
• Keep participants informed of resources, services and events at the Senior Multipurpose Center.
• Attend quarterly nutrition in-service training and other staff meetings as schedule.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Nutrition Project Director.
